Orthodontic Dental Assistant – Monroe Office

We're seeking a skilled Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team at the Monroe Prettyman Orthodontic office. The ideal candidate has a strong background in orthodontic assisting, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for patient care.

Requirements:

• Certified Dental Assistant (DA II); CPR and X-ray certified
• Minimum of two years of orthodontic assisting experience preferred
• Proficiency in four-handed dentistry and anticipating the doctor's needs
• Experience with digital radiography and orthodontic software (Ortho2 or similar)
• Strong understanding of dental instruments, terminology, and clinical protocols
• Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and maintain organized treatment areas
• Positive attitude, teamwork-driven mindset, and excellent rapport with patients

Key Responsibilities:

• Take orthodontic records, including digital photos, panoramic and cephalometric X-rays, and impressions or scans
• Assist with Invisalign impressions/bite registrations and orthodontic adjustments (archwires, ties, chains, coils)
• Support the doctor during direct bonding and debonding procedures
• Fit molar bands and take impressions for appliances (retainers, expanders, space maintainers)
• Educate patients and parents on home care, elastic wear, and retainer maintenance
• Maintain a clean, efficient treatment area and assist with lab work and equipment maintenance
• Manage patient flow and ensure each appointment runs smoothly and efficiently

Schedule & Benefits:
This is a full-time position (Monday–Thursday, with select Fridays).
Compensation is based on experience, and a competitive benefits package is offered upon hire.
